Timur Djabbarov is advising clients since 2004 on various issues related to international commercial arbitration, complex domestic and international litigation, including commercial, corporate, construction, intellectual property, real estate, debt recovery, product liability, administrative and employment disputes.

Mr. Djabbarov also advises on bankruptcy, criminal, internal investigation, corporate compliance matters and interactions with state authorities, including law enforcement bodies. Mr. Djabbarov was recommended for dispute resolution in Russia by the Legal 500 EMEA (2012 and 2013).

Before founding RODIN & PARTNERS Mr. Djabbarov was a senior litigation associate with the practice group of complex commercial litigation of Dechert LLP, and previously an associate with Salans Hertzfeld and Heilbronn (now Dentons) and Noerr Stiefenhofer Lutz (now Noerr).

2016 – 2017

  • Advising a foreign oil-trading company on the recovery of damage by the party to the contract through the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation;
  • Advising a foreign coal-trading company on the reduction of the price of the supplied coal of low quality through the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation;
  • Representing a legal manager in the labor dispute on the recovery of compensation with former employer, one of the top US law firms.
  • Representing a foreign nongovernmental organization in the dispute related to the challenging of the decision of the General Prosecution Office of the Russian Federation banning the activity of the client in Russia,
  • Representing a Russian metallurgic plant in arbitration under the Rules of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce in connection with the statement of claim filed by foreign party to the contract for reconstruction of the steel mill;
  • Advising an US major express delivery company on the recovery of debts from Russian postal services through the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation;
  • Representing Russian subsidiary of a foreign brokerage company in the dispute against Russian insurance company connected with the alleged disruption of the negotiation of the reinsurance policy by the broker;
  • Successfully representing employees of the foreign oil service company in the investigation of the fraud charge held by Russian investigation authorities under the application of the former manager of the client;

2015 – 2016

  • Representing a Russian businessman in the litigation initiated by its former business-partner in Cyprus followed by the freeze of the UK assets of the client under the freezing order of the Cyprus court;
  • Advising an UAE state company in the internal investigation of stripping more than US$300 mln by former management in Georgia;

2014 – 2015

  • Successfully representing a major German bank in 15 claims based on English-law-governed guarantees issued as security for loans provided to a large Russian agricultural holding company, which were heard by Russian state arbitrazh courts in Rostov and Stavropol;
  • Successfully representing an US aircraft lease company and its employees in the investigation held by Moscow Investigation Committee for Transport on alleged evasion of custom duties;
  • Successfully representing a Chinese state insurance company in a complex three-party mediation process involving Russian insurance company in connection with the violation by Russian party of its payment obligations under the Reinsurance Policy covering the risks from the construction of the power plant in the one of the regions of Russia;
  • Successfully representing a leading German retailer of household appliance in the trade mark dispute regarding the alleged sale of counterfeiting heard by the state arbitrazh court in Moscow;
  • Successfully representing a leading German retailer of household appliance in the criminal charge for the alleged sale of counterfeiting;

2013 – 2014

  • Representing the shareholder of a major Russian private energy supply company and legal entities controlled by the client before Russian courts in Moscow, Novgorod, Orel, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Tomsk in a dispute with other shareholders over control of the company;
  • Advising of a BVI investment fund regarding potential seizure of Russian assets of the major international water supplier in the criminal case initiated against former shareholders;
  • Representing a major German bank in the bankruptcy of a major Russian entity owning electro-metallurgic plant in the Far East of Russia;

2012 – 2013

  • Advising Russian and foreign insurance companies on the various regulatory and antimonopoly issues;
  • Advising one of the leading international mining companies with regard to the internal investigation issues.

2011 – 2012

  • Representing a number of Russian businessmen and their companies in the LCIA arbitrations and court proceedings in Cyprus connected with the major hotel development project in Moscow;
  • Representing a leading European retail group in a complex multimillion dollar dispute governed by English law regarding lease payments for 16 supermarkets in Moscow with a Cyprus special purpose vehicle, which was resolved before Russian state arbitrazh courts.

2010 – 2011

  • Successfully representing a leading foreign development and construction company in the ICC Court of Arbitration with regard to construction works in one of the largest business centers in Moscow;
  • Advising a foreign construction company on Russian law issues in connection with LCIA arbitration case;
  • Successfully representing a major Turkish construction company in the negotiation with a leading Russian insurance company with regard to the failure of the insurer to pay the recovery in connection with the fire on the construction site;
  • Advising a leading Russian insurance company during the process of negotiation and execution of the agreements on provision of services on reinsurance with one of the leading international health insurance companies;

2009 – 2010

  • Representing a Russian subsidiary of the European manufacturer of the agricultural machines in a number of administrative disputes with the Federal Custom Service of the Russian Federation;
  • Advising a leading Russian insurance company during the process of negotiation and execution of the agreements on provision of services on reinsurance with one of the leading international health insurance companies;
  • Successfully representing a leading European retail group in more than 35 disputes and a number of bankruptcy proceedings in Moscow and Saratov, which related to the misappropriation of its retail assets in more than 30 supermarkets in Moscow and Tula and the pledge of the assets to top Russian banks;
  • Successfully representing a Russian subsidiary of the leading European retail group in the investigation initiated by the Investigation Committee of Russia in connection with the alleged fraudulent actions of the former business-partner of the client;

2007 – 2009

  • Successfully representing a foreign airline company in more than 60 administrative disputes with Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation;
  • Successfully representing an owner of the logistic centre in the dispute against the administration of one of the districts of the Moscow Region regarding takeover of the land plot;
  • Representing a world-famous fashion manufacturer in several state arbitrazh court proceedings regarding the cancellation of the trademarks of the client through the Russian Patent and Trademarks Office;
  • Successfully representing an investment company in a dispute over a construction of a warehouse resolved in the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation against the contractor;
  • Successfully representing an international car manufacturer in the domain grabbing dispute heard by the State Arbitrazh Court of the city of Moscow;
