Dr. Artem Rodin


 

Dr. Rodin has over 12 years of experience advising clients from both public and private sector on all legal aspects of Infrastructure, PPP and Energy projects in public utilities (water, wastewater, waste management), energy (including renewables), transport (roads, railroads, airports) and healthcare sectors, including advising on

  • project tenders, including drafting and reviewing of tender documents, negotiations with members of project consortium (banks, construction companies), governments and their advisors (financial, technical, insurance, legal), advising on JV and consortium agreements, bid submissions
  • concession, PPP and investment agreements, financing agreements and various security instruments in Project Finance (pledges, sureties, guarantees etc.) as well as other project contracts, including design and construction contracts, O&M contracts, delivery and service contracts, sale-purchase contracts, lease agreements and other related commercial contracts
  • various legal issues arising from implementation and restructuring of projects, including refinancing, corporate and labour as well as antimonopoly, regulatory and environmental issues, licenses and approvals, land and ownership rights, labour, import, taxes, tariff regulation, dispute resolution, including litigation, international arbitration and criminal defense.

Before founding RODIN & PARTNERS Dr. Rodin was successful both in a private practice as Partner with CMS and previously with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Noerr, and as in-house as a General Counsel for a major international investor in energy and infrastructure sectors.

  • Advising an international investor on several infrastructure projects for financing, planning, construction and operation of waste water treatment plants  and largest modern water treatment facility in Europe
  • Advising state on toll road concessions, including Western High-Speed Diameter and Orlovski Tunnel
  • Advising a railway company on restructuring of a joint-venture with the foreign government operating a railway in Asia.
